For 20 years, we’ve built our business on the commitment of teaching kids to cook in a safe, positive learning environment. As one of the first kids cooking schools established in the country, Batter Up Kids mission is to actively involve kids in the kitchen by offering fun-filled cooking activities that are combined with wholesome creative recipes.

Every cooking party is a highly interactive cooking extravaganza filled with whimsically themed recipes which are carefully orchestrated by our professionally trained staff. We'll give you everything you need to cook-up a birthday party extravaganza like no other! Easy for parents and fun for children... who could ask for anything more?

Party Themes

Our unique cooking party themes will change and vary throughout the year to provide you with the most extensive and creative assortment of party options available anywhere. Party themes are age appropriate and each age range offers several different party theme options which may include seasonal options.

The Cooking Party - Here’s What We Provide

We are proud to exclusively offer our customers recipes and party themes from kids cooking expert and best-selling kids’ cookbook author, Barbara Beery. Every party is hosted at the home of the attendee or the venue of their choice and includes all of the following cooking activities and components

  • A 1.5 hour “hands-on” cooking class with a total of 4 recipes made at every party
  • Our exclusive Decorate-a-Cupcake® activity where every party attendee gets to decorate their very own cupcake that corresponds to the theme of the party. The birthday guest of honor receives a special “jumbo” cupcake which will hold the birthday candles. This typically takes the place of a birthday cake.
  • A Batter Up Kids Cooking Shop cloth apron exclusively created for the birthday guest of honor
  • Batter Up Kids logo paper chef's hats and aprons for each attendee and guest of honor
  • All plates, cups, napkins, cooking utensils and food products
  • A set of all party recipes
  • A 20% discount coupon for every attendee on every product found in our Kids Cooking Shop website. Coupon valid for one month.

Batter Up Kids Cooking Shop will begin hosting cooking parties in Austin late spring 2010 and will expand across the U.S in the late fall of 2010.
